I am an assistant professor of political science at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. My current research focuses on the politics of climate change, aiming to bridge the gap between science and effective policymaking. I am also interested in the connection between domestic politics and foreign policy, particularly public opinion, nationalism, and the Taiwan issue. My research has appeared in International Affairs, The China Quarterly, Cambridge Review of International Affairs, Environmental Science & Policy, Ecological Economics, among other journals. I teach courses on climate change politics, Chinese politics, and quantitative methods. I was a Fulbright Fellow at the Harvard-China Project on Energy, Economy, and Environment at Harvard University (2021-2022) and am currently a Swire Fellow at the University of Oxford (2024-2025).

Our new book on China’s climate policy is just coming out!
